I expect you have a dead battery.when the battery is extremely low it will only power the lowest voltage circuits like the lights you note.

Honda batteries last 3-5 years.chances are you have the original battery and its due for replacement.

you can try to jumpstart the car.if it starts with jumper cables then you’ll know you have a bad battery.

hope that helps

i own a 93 honda hatch back. i want your opinion on whats wrong with it. my thoughts are that the bearings are the problem. here goes, when i drive my car at the beginning from 0 to ETC…. on first gear it makes a scratching sound from the wheels and its the same for other gears too but not that loud. when i down shift break meaning " put it in 4th or any other gear and slowly letting clutch go it slows down" it makes the same scratching noise. so whats wrong with my car?? i would like to hear from you.

Sounds like the input shaft bearing in the transmission. Common on manuals from about 90-05 on civics and integras.

Have a shop Give it a listen. If it’s that bearing the replace the clutch set when the trans is out. Use an exedy clutch set. Great quality.

sell me the shell ill buy from you

What would it cost to swap out the f22b2 engine in my 94 accord lx to an obd1 h22a2 prelude vtec engine? This is a common swap i understand so roughly what would labor cost. Also it is a 4 speed auto and I would want to convert the trans to 5 speed manual, I understand this usually doesnt cost much during a swap. Can this be done with labor costing under 4 grand or does this type of job def require more cash?

Shouldn’t be more than 1500 in labor. The parts costs will depend on where you live.Because it’s FWD you should get the transmission swapped at the time of the engine swap.I would think you could do a 2 for 2 with the prelude setup.

I’ve heard that Honda only gives this to people with a credit score of 710+

My parents will be co-signing and they have a credit score of about 690.
However, they bought a Civic (my current car) back in 2001 and financed it through Honda. They paid it off and remained in good standing….would this help us get the 0.9% APR?
If not, what APR do you think they’d give us?

I’ll be getting a 2010/11 Honda Insight EX w/Navi if that makes a difference

if you put down 1/3 for your new car..and buying a 2010 model..absolutely you will get the 0.9%

if you put down just tax and license and try to get the 2011…usually not.The negotiation in sales dept is always try to "milk" you for what you are willing to pay. Some people pay 0 percent interest, because they put down half, and still pay sticker for the car. Some people pay 20% interest rate and bought the car at $ 1000 under invoice. Its all in the "game".

Buy a low mile pre owned for about 7 to 8 k less . They would qualify for a very low intbest loan and your payments would be about 175.00 per month less……insites are love hate autos hince their very low resale value compaired to other hondas……no more than you would be financing you wou

the hood has a lot of sun damage and it is red. how much would it cost

It depends go look up some body shops that are in the are in your phone book and call them up and sk for prices.I say to get a nice paint job you might pay 600 or more dollars at some places. When you get the paint job I heard to let it settle for a few days then clean over it and give it a good wax job. When the car is waxed it protects it for sun damadge.I prefer Maguires Next Generation Wax.When I wash I wash with Rain X cash wash with wax beeds.

Baised on value of the car and wouldn’t match rest of car…..if ya have to paint it go to somewhere like spray glow that would paint whole car for about 250…..any money ya spend on a car that old isn’t increasing its value one dollar….

$300 to $1,000 depending on shade and what it takes to prep it.The problem then will be you will have better paint on one area of the car than the rest of it and it will still look bad.Any red is going to be about twice what other colors are.

I Have 92 Accord,
so the cars check engine light is on and car has poor acceleration and stutters some time, when I put new O2 in the car the check engine light is off the car has good acceleration and no stutters, but it only last about 200 miles and check engine light comes on again.
ive done this a few time now same thing.
Please help

you need to download the blink codes that are stored in the onboard self-diagnostic control unit (PGM-ECU) in order to find out what is behind the check engine light coming on.There are over 50 reasons why the light can come on for your vehicle. The 02 sensor is just one of them so you’re odds are 1 in 50 you got it right by throwing an 02 sensor at it and hoping it fixes the problem.

so spend the few dollars to have a mechanic pull the blink codes.then you can either pursue a diagnostic based on the fault or have the mechanic do so.

on your car, the OBD diagnostic connector is behind the passenger side kickpanel.you need to jump the two terminals to get the blink codes.

so don’t assume you have an 02 problem and that the ‘O2 keeps going out’.chances are you have a different problem.

hope that helps

You are buying cheap gas and ethanel based gas. Every mechanic I have talked to tells me that is mostly the cause but most will not come out an say it is. I now am more careful on the gas I buy and have not replace one since. Your car is a 92 so it can’t handle the alcohol like the newer cars can.
